2024 Year In Review: Aaron Judge

Judge led MLB with 58 home runs and 144 RBIs while putting himself in contention for the AL MVP.

Aaron Judge was a catalyst and MVP front-runner in 2024 for the New York Yankees.

The captain was one of several key players on the Yankees’ 94-win regular season and World Series appearance team. He led the MLB with 10.8 wins above replacement, 58 home runs, 144 runs batted in, 133 walks, a .458 on-base percentage, a .701 slugging percentage, and a 1.159 OPS. Judge also batted .322 and led the Bronx Bombers with 180 hits and 36 doubles.

The outfielder was named the American League Player of the Month in May, June, and August. He was also named to the All-Star-Game for the sixth time in his career and is a finalist for the Silver Slugger award.

Judge moved over to centerfield as the team brought in Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo to play the corner-outfield positions. He didn’t make a single error during the regular season while playing over 1,000 innings in center.

Judge had many notable games during the regular season. His best game in terms of win probability added came in a 5-4 win on Sept. 13 against the Boston Red Sox. The captain hit a grand slam with the Yankees down by three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Judge also had other notable games as well this year. He had five multi-homer games as well as multiple five-RBI games. The outfielder was a steady force for the Yankees as he played every game in the three-hole of the team’s batting lineup.

Judge’s seasons will likely earn him the second MVP honor of his career. The captain will likely continue to be one of the league’s top home-run hitters for years to come.
