What Does The New York Yankees’ Lineup Look Like For Game 4 Of The ALDS?

The New York Yankees release their Game 4 lineup with a 2-1 series lead against the Kansas City Royals.

The New York Yankees have released their lineup for Game 4 of the American League Division Series.

The Yankees took a 2-1 series lead on Wednesday as a late eighth-inning home run from Giancarlo Stanton propelled them to a 3-2 win. The Bronx Bombers can close out the series with a win on Thursday.

Aaron Boone’s Game 4 starting lineup is as follows:

  1. 2B Gleyber Torres
  2. RF Juan Soto
  3. CF Aaron Judge
  4. C Austin Wells
  5. DH Giancarlo Stanton
  6. 3B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
  7. SS Anthony Volpe
  8. LF Alex Verdugo
  9. 1B Jon Berti

The Kansas City Royals will send Michael Wacha to the mound as he looks to force a winner-take-all Game 5 back at Yankee Stadium.

Wacha faced the same lineup in Game 1 of the ALDS. The Yankees recorded nine hits and opened the series with a win.

The team’s offense relied heavily on Stanton for their Game 3 victory. The slugger had two of the Yankees’ four hits and drove in two runs, including the tie-breaking solo homer late in the game.

First base has been a question mark throughout the postseason. Oswaldo Cabrera started both Games 1 and 3 while Berti made his debut at the position in Game 2. Berti will get the nod for Thursday’s game.

Aaron Judge has yet to provide any production over the last three games. The captain is just 1-11 in the series and has been a non-factor to this point.

Boone has yet to make any offensive or defensive substitution during the series. Duke Ellis, Trent Grisham, Jasson Dominguez, Ben Rice, and Jose Trevino have yet to take the field in the postseason.

Game 4 between the Yankees and Royals is set for Thursday night at 8:08 p.m.
