Both League Championship Series are underway and Saturday, Oct. 16 features a doubleheader of postseason baseball with the final four teams playing. If the action today is anything like Game 1 of the ALCS, there should be no lack of drama.
So if you're wondering "What baseball playoff games are on today?" know this: There is one game scheduled for today, Saturday, Oct. 16.

MLB Playoff Games on TV Today
Boston Red Sox at Houston Astros, 4:20 p.m. on FOX/FS1
ALCS Game 2, Astros lead 1-0
BOS: RHP Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 2.61 ERA)
HOU: RHP Luis García (0-0, 16.88 ERA)
Both teams went deep twice in Game 1, but long balls may be harder to come by today. Eovaldi and García are perhaps the teams' two best starters, and each has a HR/9 rate better than league average. One big task for Houston will be to cool off former Astro Enrique Hernández, who has 12 hits in his last four games and fell a triple short of the cycle last night.
Los Angeles Dodgers at Atlanta Braves, 8:08 p.m. on TBS
NLCS Game 1, series tied 0-0
ATL: LHP Max Fried (1-0, 0.00 ERA)
It's unclear how the Dodgers will deploy their wealth of pitching arms this series, but one thing is for sure: they'll get creative. In Game 5 of the NLDS, they used a one-time closer (Corey Knebel) to open and the All-Star Game starter (Max Scherzer) to close it out. In what could be the last NLCS with pitchers batting, expect both teams to get aggressive with benches and bullpens.
