Nationals activate Rendon from DL

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Nationals activated infielder Anthony Rendon from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday.

Rendon, who finished fifth in voting for last year's National League Most Valuable Player Award, has missed the entire season so far with a knee sprain he suffered in spring training.

The 2014 Silver Slugger hit .287 with 21 homers, 83 RBI and 17 steals last season, his first full one in the majors.

The Nationals made some other roster moves Thursday, sending pitcher Taylor Jordan to Triple-A Syracuse and infielder Wilmer Difo to Double-A Harrisburg. Washington also recalled pitched A.J. Cole from Syracuse.
