Breaking Down Aaron Judge's Incredible History of Multiple-Homer Games

A look at every one of Judge's career multi-home run games.

They don’t call them the Bronx Bombers for nothing. The New York Yankees are built to hit home runs and that is what the have done, but on Saturday they hit more than then ever have in a single game. With three from slugger Aaron Judge, the Yankees hit nine home runs Saturday.

Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Bellinger and Judge hit home runs on the first three pitches of the game. That is the first time since MLB began tracking pitches in 1988 that has happened. Austin Wells hit the fourth of the first inning to set another franchise record for the opening frame. Anthony Volpe and Jazz Chisholm, Jr. also homered and Oswald Peraza hit a pinch-hit home run to give them the franchise record.

New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

Only three teams have hit nine homers in a game and it was one shy of the record held by the Toronto Blue Jays.

It was Judge’s third three-home run game. Only three other players in Yankees history have had multiple three-homer games: Lou Gehrig (four), Alex Rodriguez (three) and Joe DiMaggio (three).
