Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies have agreed to terms with shortstop Brendan Rodgers, the No. 3 overall pick in last week's MLB draft.
Colorado did not disclose terms of the deal, but MLB.com reported that Rodgers received a $5.5 million signing bonus.
The 18-year-old shortstop was rated as the top prospect available by Baseball America. In his senior season at Lake Mary High School in Florida, he batted .360 with eight home runs.
