Gophers suffer a major letdown in East Lansing
On Tuesday the Gophers were talking about goals that included winning the Big Ten. On Wednesday night, they ran into a buzzsaw at Michigan State.
Minnesota was whipped by the Spartans 65-47 Wednesday night, in a game that didn't seem that close.
The Gophers came into the game ranked No. 24 in the country, but Minnesota was held to a season-low 47 points and shot just 33 percent from the floor and was 3 of 16 from 3-point line.
The Spartans were all over the floor defensively, as evidenced by this block from freshman Miles Bridges.

Bridges finished with 16 points, all in the first half. Fellow freshman Joshua Langford added 13.
Nate Mason led the Gophers with 12 points but was held scoreless in the first half.
Minnesota (15-3, 3-2 in the Big Ten) heads to Penn State on Saturday.
