Sophomore forward Joey King will miss tomorrow's Gopher game against Wofford with a fractured jaw, reports say.

King collided with maroon and gold guard Andre Hollins last night while playing defense against Coastal Carolina, and lay on the floor for several minutes, looking dazed and disoriented.

The team stated earlier today that the injury is a fracture to his jaw and that he would undergo minor surgery, which he did this afternoon, and miss Minnesota's Maui Invitational preliminary matchup against Wofford tomorrow night at Williams Arena.

King is still expected to travel with the team to Maui this weekend.

His status for the games in Hawaii is uncertain, and the Gophers will have to rely heavily on Oto Osieniks while King is out.

The Gopher frontcourt was already depleted with Maurice Walker still having to serve two more games of his six-game suspension, and seldom-seen forward Charles Buggs may log increased minutes with the banged up big men missing.
