Twins put Perkins on 60-day DL, call up lefty Boshers
There is nothing easy about this season for the Minnesota Twins.
More injuries and more player movement and all this as the Twins prepare for their first west coast road trip of the season.
The Twins are bringing up left-handed pitcher Buddy Boshers from Triple-A Rochester. Boshers is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA with five walks and 21 strikeouts in 15 relief appearances. To make room for the lefty, outfielder Darin Mastroianni heads to the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.
Additionally, the Twins have to make room on the roster for Boshers so former All-Star closer Glen Perkins is now on the 60-day disabled list. Perkins is battling a left posterior shoulder strain.
