Fort Snelling play to tell personal stories of Minnesota veterans
A new play coming to Fort Snelling next month will help tell personal stories gathered from more than 100 Minnesota veterans, The Associated Press reports.
"The Veteran's Play Project" will run Nov. 15-24 at Fort Snelling's Base Camp in St. Paul. There will be also be a preview of the show on Nov. 14.
The play is set in the fictional Midwest town of Smedley.
According to the production, "The stories of new recruits, veterans and advocates from all conflicts and on all sides weave together as the residents of Smedley face the dilemma of how to honor the memory of those who have served in their community."

"The Veteran's Play Project" features a cast of 20 actors and musicians, including 13 veterans or active members of the military.
The production is a collaboration between Footprints Collective Director Leah Cooper and Mixed Blood Theatre Artistic Director Jack Reuler.
