Dumba's roster spot in jeopardy

It seems that Wild rookie defenseman Matt Dumba's roster spot could be held by someone else in the near future.

Dumba didn't play in Minnesota's season opening loss to the Kings Thursday night. Instead, he watched the three defensive pairings ahead of him play, and play well for the majority of the game.

According to the Pioneer Press, the Wild have nine more games to decide whether to keep Dumba on the roster or send him back to his junior team. Because he's only 19-years-old he's not eligible to play for the Wild's AHL affiliate in Iowa.

Head coach Mike Yeo didn't reveal Friday whether Dumba would be in the lineup Saturday night against Anaheim.
