Minnesota Wild defeat Penguins in front of record home crowd
The Minnesota Wild came out strong and didn't let up in a 4-0 victory Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Wild received contributions from up and down their lineup, including two goals from their fourth line, in the game that was played in front 19,409 fans, the largest crowd to ever watch a Wild game at the X.
Erik Haula scored the first of the Wild's three goals in the first period, less than two minutes into the game, and goalie Ilya Bryzgalov made 20 saves for his second shutout with the Wild.
It was the Wild's third win in four games and keeps them in the playoff chase, the Star Tribune reports.
