Video: Backstrom gaffe sinks Wild
Niklas Backstrom wish he had that one back.
He tried to clear a puck out of the Wild zone in the third period last night. Nashville’s Martin Erat intercepted it, though, and scored to break a 1-1 tie. The Wild end up losing 3-1, their first loss of the year.
Pioneer Press writer Tom Powers probably put it best in his postgame column: "One screwy play can affect everything. And this was a screwy play."
