Blakeney taking game to China after two years with Bulls
Free agent guard Antonio Blakeney has agreed to a contract with Jiangsu, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
Blakeney, 22, is 6-foot-4 and appeared in 57 games with the Chicago Bulls last season, averaging 7.3 points and 1.7 rebounds. He also appeared in 19 games with the Bulls in 2017-18 season.
“I can make plays for others,” Blakeney told Amico Hoops' Ben Stinar in December. “Simple plays. I think I gotta show that more.”
The former McDonald's All-American and LSU standout joins a long list of NBA veterans taking their games to China.
Others to do so: Jeremy Lin, Lance Stephenson, Ian Clark, Donatas Motiejunas and Jerryd Bayless.
