Lakers to sign G-League veteran Ingram to 10-day contract
The Los Angeles Lakers intend to sign veteran guard Andre Ingram, according to Lauren Jones of the LA Sentinel News.
Shams Charania of Stadium added that Ingram will sign a 10-day deal with the team.
Ingram, 33, has been playing for the South Bay Lakers, the team's affiliate in the G-League. He is the G-League's all-time leader in 3-pointers and was called up by the Lakers last spring, scoring 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting in his debut.
"Ingram will earn $76,236 over the course of his new 10-day deal," Luke Adams of HoopsRumors wrote. "Once it expires, the Lakers can either sign him to a second 10-day deal, give him a rest-of-season contract, or let him return to free agency."
The Lakers (30-36) are 7 1/2 games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and about to embark on a five-game road trip. They have lost second-year point guard Lonzo Ball and third-year swingman Brandon Ingram for the season with injuries.
