Latest: MKG to return before playoffs?

Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has indicated he will try to return from injury this season. Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder, initially expected to keep him out for all of 2015-16.

Celtics forward David Lee said he has not requested a trade despite a lack of playing time recently. "We'll see moving forward how permanent this is," Lee told Booth Newspapers. "Obviously I'm very confident I can help a team win. I'd love for that to be the Boston Celtics."

Former NBA swingman Ryan Gomes has been claimed by the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the D-League, per Upside & Motor. The D-Fenders are the Lakers' minor league affiliate.

The Suns will waive point guard Bryce Cotton and forward Corey Jefferson, per Yahoo Sports. They are likely to fill their open roster spots with players on 10-day contracts, reports the Arizona Republic.

Power forward Christian Wood has joined the Delaware 87ers of the NBA D-League, per the team. Wood was recently waived by the 76ers.

Former second-round draft pick DeAndre Daniels (Connecticut) has signed with Raptors 905 of the D-League, per the team. Daniels was selected with the No. 37 overall selection by the Raptors in 2014.
