Nuggets assign Lydon, transfer Morris

The Denver Nuggets have assigned rookie big man Tyler Lydon to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the G League, the team announced in a press release.

Along with Lydon, the Nuggets transferred rookie guard Monte Morris to the Vipers, and transferred rookie swingman Torrey Craig to the Sioux Falls Skyforce,

Lydon is 6-foot-10 and was acquired by the Nuggets (along with Trey Lyles) in a draft day trade with the Utah Jazz. Lydon averaged 1.0 points and 1.0 rebounds in six preseason games.

Morris is 6-3 and was by the Nuggets in the second round (No. 51 overall) of the draft. He averaged 3.0 points in three preseason games.

Craig is 6-67 and appeared in four preseason games. He also spent summer league with the Nuggets, playing six games and averaging 11.5 points and 4.8 rebounds.
