Reports: T-Wolves' Rubio headed to Jazz

The Utah Jazz are expected to acquire point guard Ricky Rubio from the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 2018 first-round pick, according to multiple reports.

The pick will be top-14 protected, ESPN reported.

Rubio has been the subject of trade rumors since the February trading deadline, and those talks only seem to have intensified lately.

Multiple sources told Amico Hoops that the Jazz and Timberwolves have been two of the more aggressive teams this offseason. The Timberwolves have already obtained All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls, and are said to be looking to add more perimeter shooting.

Rubio averaged 11.1 points and 9.1 points this past season, his first under coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Timberwolves reportedly are interested in Jeff TeagueKyle Lowry orThibodeau favorite Derrick Rose to replace Rubio at point guard.
