Preview: Charge back home after West win
The Canton Charge return home on a high note, having won their second of two games in California.
The Charge (4-8) defeated the Bakersfield Jam 108-100 on Thursday, after losing to the defending champion Santa Cruz Warriors by a 108-101 count Tuesday.
They host the Erie Bayhawks on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Clippers guard C.J. Wilcox is the Charge's latest addition. He was assigned to the D-League club prior to Thursday's game and scored 24 points.
With Cavaliers assignee Joe Harris called back up by the Charge's parent club, there are still plenty of players to watch in Canton. Along with Wilcox, coach Jordi Fernandez's team features the likes of guards Quinn Cook, D.J. Stephens and Jorge Gutierrez, swingman Sir'Dominic Pointer, forward Nick Minnerath and center Michael Dunnigan.
The Bayhawks (3-7) are led by former Michigan State standout point guard Keith Appling. Also, guard Jordan Sibbert, who began his college career at Ohio State and finished at Dayton, is another Erie contributor.
Saturday's game is being dubbed "Cavs Night" in celebration of the Charge's parent club. Moondog, Sir C.C., the Cavalier Girls and the Scream Team will all be there.
