Who are the top five trios in today's NBA? Here is one man's list.

5. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan - Clippers

Over the course of the past few seasons, this gang has developed from their Lob City mantra to becoming more well-rounded ball players. Chris Paul was never the question, rather it was can Blake and Jordan be more than just incredible dunkers? Now it’s time for this trio to take the next step in the maturation process and figure out how to win in the clutch.

4. Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge - Spurs

For years Duncan, Parker and Ginobli were the gold standard in the league. Now Leonard and Aldridge have infused this aging trio with a bit of youth. Still, the question remains as to whether they can achieve the same amount of success we saw from the former trio.

3. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love - Cavaliers

Each and every one of these players can dominate the game offensively. However, there is not enough defense here to push them to the top of this list. LeBron is still the man, but his age and declining minutes, mixed with the uncertainty of Kyrie’s health, leave a lot of question marks. Love's increased role this season has been a great sign for this team, as he has re-established himself as a top 15 player.

2. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka - Thunder

The key that makes this trio better than the Cleveland crew is diversity. Ibaka is a shutdown defender and an above average offensive player. KD is truly a monster wing player and Westbrook might be the fastest man in the league. Both KD and Westbrook can take over a game at any point, but will each do it in their own unique way. Let's cross our fingers that all of these players stay in OKC for the foreseeable future.

1. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green - Warriors

When originally doing this list I had this trio lower, but everything the Warriors touch turns to gold and it's mainly because of these three. Steph is on another planet with his level of play this season and Klay is as good as ever. Green is the player that I am still not sold on, with typical suspect play offensively -- but the recent back-to-back triple-doubles speak for themselves and solidifies these guys as the top trio.
