Ex-ESPN Host Reveals Six-Word Message That Got Jordan Poole Punched By Draymond Green
According to many in the NBA world, the soured relationship between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole likely played a role in the ex-Michigan guard's trade out of Golden State this offseason.
Poole, now a member of the Wizards, allegedly got into an altercation with the Warriors' star forward during training camp last season. It ended with Green throwing a punch at him.
This Friday, and after months and months of speculation, ex-ESPN host Pablo Torre claims he knows exactly what set Draymond off that fateful afternoon.
"Ok, here it is," Torre began. "'You're an expensive backpack for 30'... is what Jordan Poole told Draymond Green that got him punched in the f------ face."
There's a bit to unpack here.
First, it's pretty clear that the '30' mentioned above is Steph Curry. As such, Poole's alleged message to Green seemed to be that his expensive contract made it hard for Curry to "carry him."
We're not sure that warrants a punch from Green - but nonetheless, it likely wasn't the smartest comment Poole's ever made.
He'll look to find success with his new team in Washington this season.
