"Look what we found on insta-face."
Well this isn't a good look for the worldwide leader in sports.
On Tuesday night, ESPN was duped and aired a photoshopped image that had been going around on Twitter. The image appeared to be an Anthony Davis post on Instagram complete with a LeBron James comment that, if it was true, would've been the most obvious case of tampering anyone's ever seen. With all the Davis trade rumors going around, ESPN quickly aired the image.
Shortly after it aired, ESPN realized their mistake and contributed it to a "kid with too much time on his hands." The creator of the photoshopped image responded with quite the quip.
I'd rather have too much time on my hands so I can take 3 minutes to make a joke on twitter than have such little time on my hands that I don't bother to verify the veracity of a ridiculous instagram screenshot because I'm desperate for content https://t.co/6D03kCTZr6— sreekar (@sreekyshooter) January 30, 2019
He's got a point there.
