Warriors' Draymond Green Reveals Major Source of Blame for Losing Streak

The Golden State Warriors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. One Golden State star was not happy with himself after the fact.

The Golden State Warriors lost a tight 105-101 game to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. The Warriors needed to dig themselves out of a big hole early. Draymond Green took the shortcomings of the close loss to heart.

Golden State fell behind 39-23 after the first quarter. Given the mere 18 points scored in the final period, its efforts to come back would fall short.

Missing Stephen Curry in the lineup was a tough hurdle for the Warriors to overcome. As a result, their Swiss army knife,  Green, was critical of his efforts and leadership down the stretch of this game. He openly discussed this at the post-game press conference.

"I just got to settle down and make sure we get into something," Green told reporters. "I thought we were a bit scattered, and that's on me. [When] the game gets to that point, somebody got to slow the game down and get us into a set."

Green continued what he needed to provide the team within those instances: "I am the veteran out there. I am the one with the most experience out there. So I got to get my head out of my (expletive), go get the ball, and get us into a set, something that would be beneficial for all of us."

Green added this on the pitfalls of the Warriors' failed offensive approach against the Thunder: "I think so many of us, everybody wanted it. But our spacing wasn't correct, so they're able to collapse on the paint, and we don't have the proper kickouts because our spacing wasn't right. We weren't getting into anything. It was just guys making plays themselves. I can do a better job there.

The Warriors have now lost three in a row. They can snap their losing streak on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns.
