Basketball fans still don't know the full extent of the fallout from Ja Morant's gun-waving video on social media.

Commissioner Adam Silver is expected to hand down a lengthy suspension for Morant. When discussing the incident on ESPN this week, the commissioner underscored that this was not a first-time offense for the Grizzlies star.

And the incident will hit Morant in the pocketbook, as Nike appears to be distancing itself from Morant.

Hoops fans have picked up on a noteworthy development: Ja's sneakers can no longer be found on Nike's website or mobile app.

Damichael Cole of the Memphis Commercial Appeal provided furter details behind the stalled release of Morant's new sneakers.

"Ja Morant’s Hunger Ja 1 sneakers are no longer listed on the Nike or Finish Line apps. The Hunger Ja 1s have been expected to release on May 25."

Today's development indicates these sneakers won't be rolled out by the 25th unless it's an error by Nike. Morant's brand is as toxic as it's ever been at the moment, and it's hard to blame Nike for wanting nothing to do with Ja's poor judgment.
