Lakers Make Uniform Decision for Rest of 2024-25 NBA Season
The Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off a thrilling 107-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Luka Doncic’s first game against his former team.
Doncic notched a 19-point, 15-rebound, 12-assist triple-double in the win as the Lakers won their third straight game.
The Lakers next face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday in L.A., and they were all set to wear their City Edition uniforms.
However, it seems that isn’t the case. NBA Locker Vision, a site that tracks which uniforms teams will wear, lists the Lakers with the all-yellow Icon Edition uniforms for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
According to Lakers Nation’s Corey Hansford, the Lakers were scheduled to wear the City Edition uniforms six more times this season.

The rest of the schedule on the NBA Locker Vision site does not list the Lakers with the City Edition at all.
On Feb. 1, the Lakers were scheduled to wear the City Edition uniforms against the New York Knicks but decided against wearing them. In turn, the Lakers defeated the Knicks, 128-112, just hours before acquiring Doncic in the blockbuster trade.
ESPN’s Dave McMenamin added then that the team would “reassess” the uniform schedule going forward. Moreover, the Lakers had a 1-9 record this year while wearing the City Edition uniforms.
Now, at least for the 2024-25 season, the City Edition jerseys that read “LakeShow” on the front are not going to be worn.
