NBA Faces Backlash Over Luka Doncic Decision
Luka Doncic recently concluded his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers after being traded out West from the Dallas Mavericks.
Doncic was involved in one of the biggest trades in NBA history, which sent Anthony Davis to the Mavericks, seemingly setting up both franchises for immediate success.
After the NBA season, where Los Angeles suffered a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the playoffs, Doncic entered his first offseason as an official Laker.
He’s set to be the future face of the franchise, currently playing with one of the best athletes in NBA history, LeBron James.
While Doncic is widely regarded as a premium player in the league, NBA.com recently revealed its top Western Conference player rankings, making an interesting decision on the Lakers star.
Doncic was ranked at No. 4 behind Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards.
After the release of the ranking, some fans took to social media, seemingly sharing their thoughts on the NBA’s decision to put Luka Doncic at No. 4.
“Remember some media analyst were putting Ant over Luka even when Luka played on the Mavs so ts is not a surprise atp Gotta push Walmart Micheal Jordan somehow,” said one fan.
“Ant over Luka looool,” said another fan.
“Ant above luka?” questioned one fan with laughing emojis.
“AD leaves the lakers and finally gets proper recognition, luka becomes a laker and is suddenly underrated,” commented one fan.
“When did Ant pass Luka?” said one fan.
“Anthony Edward’s is entering overrated territory,” said another fan.

Last season, Luka Doncic posted 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game.
He’s heading into his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers and eighth season in the NBA, having already been named a five-time All-Star and five-time member of the All-NBA team.
