Memphis Grizzlies Player Buys New Home
In a recent report from Greg Akers of The Memphis Business Journal, it was revealed that Memphis Grizzlies forward Xavier Tillman has purchased a new home in the area.
"The buyer for this home is Memphis Grizzlies forward Xavier Tillman," Akers wrote. "The 24-year-old is entering his fourth season. Across 61 regular season games in 2022-2023, Tillman averaged 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals. In June, the Grizzlies exercised a team option on his contract, paying him a reported $1.9 million for the upcoming season. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2023-2024 season. The Grand Rapids native attended Michigan State University and was named Ben Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2020. Another Grizzlies forward, Brandon Clarke, also recently bought a home."
Tillman recently had his team option picked up by the Grizzlies, which will keep him in Memphis for the upcoming season. A big piece for the Grizzlies last year, especially with the injuries they dealt with to their front court, Tillman proved to be a reliable rotation player that could continue improving.
Memphis has a solid young core in place, and while Tillman often gets overlooked when discussing the Grizzlies' roster, he is somebody the team is very high on and is excited to be bringing back via his team option.
