NBA Fans Stunned by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Three Hardest Players to Guard

NBA superstar and NBA Finals champion Giannis Antetokounmpo gave a shocking answer when asked about the three most difficult players he's guarded in his career.

While many might expect names like LeBron James or Kevin Durant, Giannis's choices are certainly unexpected.

Giannis named his three toughest players to guard as his own family members.

The Greek Freak stated, "Kostas Antetokounmpo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, and Alex Antetokounmpo."

While his answer might seem unconventional, it highlights the respect and admiration he holds for his family.

Four of the five Antetokounmpo brothers—Thanasis, Giannis, Kostas, and Alex have each been drafted into the NBA, and three of them have claimed NBA Championship titles.

Their shared experiences on the court from childhood through their professional careers have undoubtedly influenced Giannis's perspective.

The competitive battles within the family likely make them some of the most challenging opponents for him.

While some of the brothers were set to play in the Olympic Games for Greece this year, unfortunately, that will not be the case.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo gestures during his team’s game against the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum on April 9, 2024.

Giannis will be competing in the Olympic Games without his brother this year.

Kostas Antetokounmpo is sidelined with a knee injury and will miss the rest of the Games and Thanasis suffered an Achilles tendon tear earlier this year which has caused him to miss it as well.

Ultimately, Giannis's unique list reflects a deep bond and understanding of his brothers' skills and strengths. As the basketball world continues to watch, it’s clear that family rivalry can be just as intense as any professional competition.
