Why isn’t Michael Jordan on the old NBA Jam arcade game?

His Airness is noticeably absent from cult favorite NBA Jam

“Boom-Shaka-Laka!” The 25th anniversary of NBA Jam has brought about a renewed interest in the classic 1993 two-on-two basketball arcade game — and even a rumored comeback with modern players. Odds are, “He’s on fire!”
