Aaron Rodgers Has Honest Reaction To Jordan Love's Preseason Performance

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love's performance in the Packers' preseason opener vs. the San Francisco 49ers was a disaster. He threw three picks in a 28-21 loss. Is it time to panic if you're Green Bay? Not if you ask Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers spoke with reporters this Tuesday about Love's preseason performance and defended his backup. The longtime NFL quarterback explains that when you actually go and look at the film you realize Love's turnovers weren't exactly his fault.

"Aaron Rodgers said he 'felt bad' for Jordan Love with so much he couldn't control going wrong around him Friday night in SF: 'It might look bad on the stat sheet with three picks, but the film tells a very different story.' A solid endorsement of Love's preseason opener," said Ryan Wood.

That's exactly the kind of support the Packers were hoping for from Aaron Rodgers. It should help Jordan Love build some confidence.

The reality is, though, those three turnovers were Love's. And until he cuts down on them and starts producing better results, he's going to be criticized.

The Packers play in their second preseason game of the year this Friday night vs. the New Orleans Saints.
