Aaron Rodgers Misses Wednesday Practice With Notable Injury

10 Candidates to be the Green Bay Packers' Next Head Coach: Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers took the practice field without their biggest star on Wednesday.

For the second week in a row, quarterback Aaron Rodgers missed the team's first practice of the week due to a right thumb injury.

It's too early to panic about Rodgers missing this week's matchup against the Washington Commanders, as he played through the injury last week with a wrap over his thumb.

However, the thumb, which Rodgers injured during the Packers' loss to the New York Giants in London during Week Five, is clearly still bothering him.

The two-time reigning league MVP has not played up to his lofty standards of late. The Packers mustered just 10 points in a home loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.

They'll look to right the ship against a Commanders team that is without its starting quarterback itself. Having Rodgers behind center would certainly help.
