Detroit Lions Have Fired Assistant Coach This Monday

The mess that is the Detroit Lions' defense is making a much-needed change this Monday.

Dan Campbell and the Lions have fired defensive backs coach Aubrey Pleasant following another abysmal defensive performance on Sunday.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa carved up the Lions' secondary. He threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns. Both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle went for over 100 yards receiving.

Campbell and the Lions are making the much-needed change.

"Can confirm @davebirkett and others reporting the Lions have fired DB coach Aubrey Pleasant. A year ago Dan Campbell demoted Anthony Lynn midway through the year. This is something different," said Nick Baumgardner.

Aubrey Pleasant is pretty much the last of the Lions' problems at the moment, but it's reached that point in the season where teams need scapegoats.

The Lions have showed good competitiveness this season, but are just 1-6 through seven games.

Hopefully Campbell and the Lions can turn a corner in the second half of the 2022 campaign.
