Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Safety Danieal Manning signed with the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday, just three days after being released by the Houston Texans.
NFL.com reported the contract to be for one year.
Manning started 35 regular-season games over three years with the Texans, but missed the final 10 contests of the 2013 campaign after fracturing his fibula in mid-October.
The 31-year-old owns 91 starts over eight NFL seasons with Chicago and Houston, having recorded 11 interceptions and nine forced fumbles over that span. Manning also has experience as a kick returner, having averaged 26.8 yards on 116 career runbacks along with one touchdown.
Manning played for new Bengals defensive backs coach Vance Joseph, who had spent the previous three seasons at the same position with the Texans, during his tenure in Houston.
