Best Prop Bets for the 2018 NFL Draft

The NFL draft much like everything else in sports has things for you to wager on and much like those events, there is some value out there should you find the right bet to latch on to. There aren't that many picks that anyone can be sure of so there are plenty of opportunities to pad your wallet during the first two nights of the 2018 NFL Draft. With that, let's take a look at a couple of sportsbooks and see if there's anything we can find.

Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield (10/1) to be the first pick of the 2018 NFL Draft

Listen, the only reason this makes my list is because of the value. I really think it comes down to Sam Darnold and Josh Allen here, but former Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan will be in the Browns’ war room and he's been a huge Mayfield (above, right) fan for a while now. Darnold is the overwhelming favorite, but there's a little bit of value with Allen at 8/5.

Over 5.5 QBs selected in first round (+155)

Hopefully you notice the trend with these wagers. It's all about taking some chances with some good value. We know the big four of Allen/Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield will all go in the first round as well as Lamar Jackson. I think we could see a team sneak into the back end of the first round and take Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph, who I think is actually pretty underrated, on Thursday night as well.

Courtland Sutton (9/2) to be the first WR drafted

Sutton has some of the best tools of any of the WRs out there. He's got size, good hands and is a soiled route runner. There are reports out there that he could be the first one taken and at this price, I'll take a shot. Calvin Ridley is the bigger name out of Alabama, but Sutton will probably end up being better.

Saquon Barkley (+450) to be drafted second

The Giants have put out a lot of reports on what they will do with the second pick. Logic says they should draft the QB of the future but the shiny object would be to draft the RB out of Penn State and worry about QB in one or two years. Just in case they do go with the RB, this is a pretty good value on someone who could very well be their selection.

Over 4.5 (-110) QBs selected in the first round
See above but I think five QBs get selected and I think this is a pretty good price for something I think will happen. Heck, we could see six with Mason Rudolph as well.

Over 1.5 (-110) players from South Dakota State selected in the 2018 NFL Draft
Tight end Dallas Goedert is definitely going to get picked and there are several other intriguing prospects from the Jackrabbits including their top wide receiver, Jake Wieneke. Once again, good value on a prop bet that I think will win.
