No team wants to see players suffer serious injuries at training camp. Unfortunately, that may be the reality the Buffalo Bills are currently facing.
The AFC East franchise fears one of its defensive stars may have suffered a "potentially serious" injury at practice this Tuesday morning. That player is All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer.
The Bills are reportedly concerned Poyer suffered a serious arm injury during training camp.
"Tough end to Bills practice, with key S Jordan Poyer suffering a potentially serious arm injury. Was a First Team All Pro in 2021," said Ben Volin.
Another insider adds Jordan Poyer appeared to have suffered a wrist injury. To make matters worse, he's reportedly in serious discomfort.
"Safety Jordan Poyer just walked off the field holding his wrist. A trainer is looking at him. Poyer is sitting down and appears to be in some pretty bad discomfort," tweeted Sal Capaccio.
The veteran Jordan Poyer has been one of the league's top safeties for some time now. Last season, he had 93 tackles, five picks and three sacks.
Let's hope this is nothing serious, but it sounds like Poyer could end up missing some time here ahead of the 2022 season.
