Bills’ Josh Allen Turning Heads with ‘Awesome’ Take on Historic Start
The Buffalo Bills are statistically in the middle of the pack in most categories this season on both sides of the football.
Even so, they keep finding ways to win at an impressive rate. In fact, their 30-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday allowed the 2024 Bills to join elite company in franchise history.
For the first time since 1993, the Bills won eight of their first 10 games. They have a stranglehold on the AFC East - and seem just a few weeks away from winning their fifth-straight division title.
Even with reaching a mark set by the last team to reach the Super Bowl in Buffalo, the Bills are only thinking about their upcoming contest against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“It’s awesome to get to eight wins through 10 games,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said. “Still got a lot of season left, so we’re not really looking at it as that. It’s just really onto the next one.”
Buffalo's early season success could also be pretty misleading moving forward. The Bills have contests against the Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, and Detroit Lions all in consecutive order.
Hardly an easy path to get to the playoffs.
Buffalo knows that having homefield advantage will depend greatly on how Kansas City fares the rest of the year. With the 9-0 mark, it seems unlikely that the Chiefs are about to relinquish that moving forward.
But the Bills can control much of their destiny as well if they keep winning and continue to set historical contest within the franchise.
