Breaking: Breece Hall MRI Results Revealed On Monday

Breece Hall, New York Jets

Despite winning their fourth consecutive game on Sunday to move to 5-2 on the season, New York Jets' fans are devastated Monday morning.

As reported by Ian Rapoport this morning, Jets' running back Breece Hall suffered a torn ACL and meniscus injury in Week 7 and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season.

"Tests have confirmed that #Jets RB Breece Hall did, in fact, tear his ACL as the team feared, source said after the MRI. He also had a meniscus injury. His promising rookie season is over," Rapoport tweeted Monday morning.

Hall went down in the second quarter of New York's 16-9 victory over Denver last week. The Jets, now in second place in the highly competitive AFC East, will be without their main offensive catalyst for the rest of the year.

Before the injury, Hall looked to be one of the frontrunners for offensive rookie of the year, amassing 463 yards on an efficient 5.8 yards per carry. The 2022 second-round pick for the Jets also led the team in touchdowns (5) through seven games this season.

Next up for the Jets is a matchup with AFC East rival New England in Week 8.
