Breaking: Veteran NFL Quarterback Benched Following Bad Performance Sunday

The Matt Ryan experiment in Indianapolis has gone down the drain. So much so, Frank Reich and Co. are making a significant change.

The Colts are benching the veteran Matt Ryan following his two-interception performance vs. the Titans on Sunday.

With Ryan now on the bench, the Colts have two options: Sam Ehlinger out of Texas or the veteran Nick Foles.

Ehlinger will get the start for the Colts this Sunday.

"Per source, Colts benching Matt Ryan, turning to Sam Ehlinger. Sam makes 1st career start Sunday vs. Washington. Nick Foles will be No. 2," said Mike Chappell.

It's important to note Matt Ryan is dealing with an injury. The veteran has a shoulder sprain; however, Reich was making the starting quarterback change regardless.

"Reich says this move would have been made no matter the injury to Ryan or not. Plan is for Ehlinger to be the starting QB for the rest of the season," said Kevin Bowen.

We wish Matt well in his recovery, but it appears his days as a starting quarterback in Indianapolis have come to an abrupt end.

Sam Ehlinger will start for the Colts this Sunday vs. the Commanders.
