It was not a positive Tuesday training camp practice out in Denver. The Broncos are reportedly concerned two players - one being a key starter - suffered significant injuries today.
Both starting veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick and fourth-string running back Damarea Crockett exited training camp this Tuesday with knee injuries. Both are undergoing MRIs, and the expectation is worrisome.
Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Broncos "fear" each player suffered a significant injury this Tuesday.
"Brutal day at #Broncos practice: Both standout WR Tim Patrick and RB Damarea Crockett went down with apparent knee injuries and both are having MRIs. There is a fear, sources say, that both are significant," said Rapoport.
A potentially devastating setback for the Broncos, especially for new quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson had reportedly already established a strong connection with Tim Patrick and may now have to look elsewhere for his production.
Hopefully the tide turns and both Patrick and Damarea Crockett have minor injuries. But from the sound of it, each could be out a while.
