A Denver Broncos veteran wide receiver and projected starter may have suffered a serious injury this Tuesday afternoon. That player is fifth-year wideout Tim Patrick.

According to multiple reports, Patrick made a sensational catch during training camp on Tuesday, but landed awkwardly. It was only a matter of moments before the cart came out and he was taken off the field with medical trainers.

This doesn't sound promising. Apparently the entire team was huddled around him as he was loaded on the cart.

"Tim Patrick is getting carted off the field at Broncos camp after twisting his leg coming down from a crazy leaping catch. The entire team is huddled around him as he gets loaded onto the cart. Just brutal," said Robert Mays.

Tim Patrick has spent his entire NFL career with the Denver Broncos, and has really become a reliable weapon these past two seasons. In four years with the AFC West franchise, Patrick has 143 catches for 2,009 yards and 12 touchdowns.

To make matters worse, Patrick had just begun developing great chemistry with new Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. Now, it appears he may miss some time with an injury.

"Reports out of Denver right now are that WR Tim Patrick made a brilliant catch, went down and grabbed his leg. The cart came out for him. Patrick has had early chemistry with Russell Wilson and is a great NFL story. Hoping for the best," said James Palmer.

Let's hope this is nothing serious.
