This Thursday morning, an official Deshaun Watson punishment was announced. The Browns quarterback is facing an 11-game suspension and will have to pay a $5 million fine to charity.

Just moments ago, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam responded to the NFL and NFLPA's punishment decision on Watson. He fully supports his team's new franchise quarterback and believes it's only right he gets a second chance.

"I think in this country, people deserve second chances. Is he never supposed to play again? Is he no longer supposed to be part of society? That's what we're going to do. We gave Kareem Hunt a second chance and that worked out pretty well," said Haslam.

Haslam went on to reveal he's fully comfortable with Deshaun Watson playing for his football team.

"Browns owner Jimmy Haslam on whether he's comfortable having Deshaun Watson on his team: 'Absolutely. 100%.' GM Andrew Berry: 'We believe Deshaun has strong, positive qualities,'" said Berry, via Albert Breer.

Deshaun Watson will be eligible to return from his suspension in Week 13 when the Browns take on the Houston Texans.

Cleveland, meanwhile, is expected to play Jacoby Brissett at quarterback until then.
