On Tuesday, Browns wide receiver and return specialist Jakeem Grant was carted off the practice field after suffering an injury. Unfortunately, it sounds like it's as serious as the team suspected.
The Browns reportedly fear Grant suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. It's still unconfirmed, and Grant will continue undergoing testing, but it appears to be heading in the wrong direction.
To make matters worse, Grant was having a "terrific camp" so far and figured to be a big weapon for the Cleveland offense later this fall.
"Per source, fear that #Browns WR Jakeem Grant might have suffered a serious Achilles injury in practice today. Grant was having a terrific camp out of the slot and returning kicks/punts. Would be a huge blow," said Jake Trotter.
Jakeem Grant is one of the best return men in the NFL. He made the Pro Bowl last season and was named All-Pro second team.
Grant just signed a three-year deal with the Browns back in March.
