Browns WR Suffered Season-Ending Knee Injury In Preseason Finale

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jakeem Grant was carted off the field on Saturday after suffering an apparent injury on a kickoff return.

Grant had an MRI this Sunday morning to determine the severity of the injury. Unfortunately, the results appear to indicate that his 2023 season is over.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that the MRI confirmed Grant suffered a season-ending patellar tendon tear.

Grant was injured on the first play of Browns-Chiefs on Saturday.

He went down after returning the opening kickoff and was unable to exit the field under his own power.

It's a truly awful break for Grant, who's now set to be out for his second full season in a row. He missed the Browns' 2022 campaign while rehabbing from an achilles injury.

We wish Grant the best and hope he's able to make a full recovery.
