Buffalo Bills Make Official Decision On Josh Allen For 2nd Preseason Game

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Most star quarterbacks either don't play at all or take just a series or two during the preseason. It appears it's going to be the latter for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced this Thursday that Josh Allen will not only start in the team's second preseason game this Saturday; he's going to play a "healthy amount."

McDermott wants Allen to get back into the flow of the game. Allen will also be playing with most of the starters.

"Getting out there and getting in the flow of a regular game, going through warmups, getting out there and executing and doing what we've been practicing in practice," McDermott said. "Obviously, you want to score points, but just executing out there. Josh will be hearing a new voice (OC Ken Dorsey) in his ear as well, so there's a lot we want to put into practice in a game that we've been practicing."

The Bills battle the Broncos this Saturday afternoon. It's their second of three preseason games.

The AFC East franchise wraps up its preseason schedule on Aug. 26 against Carolina.
