Carolina Panthers Are Reportedly Firing Another Coach This Monday Afternoon

This Monday morning, the Carolina Panthers fired head coach Matt Rhule. He's not the only coach within the organization reportedly losing his job today.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are also firing defensive coordinator Phil Snow.

Snow's Carolina defense gave up 397 yards and 30 offensive points to the Niners on Sunday. San Francisco picked up 6.5 yards per play in the win.

The Panthers are moving on from both Rhule and Snow this Monday.

"Sources: #Panthers defensive coordinator Phil Snow has been fired. So not just Matt Rhule, but his defensive coordinator, as well," said Rapoport.

Defensively the Panthers are one of the worst run-stopping units in the NFL this season. That's probably a big reason why Snow lost his job today.

It's highly likely Phil Snow gets a big job at the college level. It's plausible he follows Matt Rhule if he winds up back in coaching at the college level.

Steve Wilks, meanwhile, will be the Panthers' interim head coach for the rest of the season.
