Notable NFL Kicker Will Miss Several Weeks With Injury

Chargers kicker Dustin Hopkins

Veteran NFL kicker Dustin Hopkins was a hero for the Chargers of Los Angeles on Monday night.

Hopkins converted all four of his field goals on Monday night, scoring 12 of the Chargers' 19 points in the game. That includes his game-winning boot in overtime.

Hopkins somehow played through the game with an injury.

Chargers head coach Brandon Staley announced this Tuesday that Hopkins is going to miss the next two to four weeks with an injury.

"Chargers’ HC Brandon Staley told reporters that kicker Dustin Hopkins is expected to be sidelined 2-4 weeks due to his hamstring injury," said ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dustin Hopkins is dealing with a hamstring injury and could now miss a month because of it. We wish him well in his recovery.

The Chargers, meanwhile, gutted out a 19-16 win over the Broncos on Monday night. They are now 4-2 on the season.
