Chargers Quarterback Justin Herbert Takes Big Step In Practice

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert was quite the hero for the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2, despite a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, his status for Week 3 this weekend remains in question.

Herbert, the former Oregon star, suffered a fracture to his rib cartilage in a loss to the Chiefs last Thursday night. Luckily, the Thursday night game has allowed Herbert more time to heal. It appears he might play in Week 3.

Herbert threw passes out on the practice field this Thursday. It's a big step for the Chargers quarterback, who appears to be in line to play on Sunday.

"Justin Herbert is on the field throwing passes. More than we saw him doing yesterday. #BoltUp," said Bridget Condon.

A big step for the third-year quarterback out of Oregon. It looks like Justin Herbert may be healthy enough to play this Sunday.

The Chargers are looking to improve to 2-1 this weekend vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
