A major NFL trade rumor is swirling this Wednesday afternoon, and it involves the Green Bay Packers.
The storied NFC North franchise is in desperate need of a No. 1 option at the wide receiver position.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler suggests Chase Claypool of the Pittsburgh Steelers could be a potential trade target for the Packers.
“A few general managers I’ve spoken to are certain Green Bay is looking for potential receiver help on the trade market,” — @JFowlerESPN who suggests Chase Claypool as a potential target. Fowler has been saying since before the draft, a Claypool trade is in play for PIT.
Would Chase Claypool be a good fit in Green Bay? It certainly gives Aaron Rodgers some much-needed help on the offensive end.
"If the Packers offered the Steelers their 3rd round pick for Chase Claypool right now, you make that deal?" said Andrew Fillipponi.
"Offer a 3 to the Steelers for Chase Claypool. A 3 might be too much, but honestly, I just want to get rid of that pick before Brian Gutekunst gets a chance to draft another player in that round," said Michael Rodney.
The Packers might be calling the Steelers to acquire Chase Claypool soon. Odell Beckham Jr. could be another option.
