This weekend, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady meet on Sunday Night Football. It's a rematch of Super Bowl 2021. The two quarterbacks have great respect for each other.
Mahomes is speaking plenty about the 45-year-old quarterback this week leading up to Sunday night's game. The Chiefs quarterback really admires Brady's ability to get "even better" on a consistent basis.
Mahomes, meanwhile, is trying to follow in his footsteps. But first, he will try and take down the Buccaneers quarterback on Sunday.
“I mean, it’s special to see the things that he’s done in this league,” Mahomes said, Pro Football Talk. “He’s always been great and had a great season and found ways to get even better. He’s done stuff off the field that hasn’t impacted him on the field but still made his legacy even greater so it’s always a great opportunity for me and our team to go up against a great quarterback and really see where our team is at.”
It's nice to see two NFL quarterbacks have such great respect for each other.
What's interesting about the supposed Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes rivalry is Mahomes is still so young. At 27 years old, Mahomes could still have 18 seasons left in him until he turns 45.
Mahomes and Brady battle it out this Sunday night.
