Katherine Berman, wife of ESPN sportscaster and legend Chris, passed away in a two-car accident Tuesday according to the Hartford Courant. She was 67.
According to the Courant, the crash occurred in Woodbury, Conn., Tuesday afternoon and killed Berman and the person driving the other vehicle, 87-year-old Edward Bertulis. Berman's Lexus went off the road and down an embankment, overturning in a body of water.
Chris Berman was notified by NYPD at Citi Field Tuesday night where he was watching the Giants take on the Mets. ESPN President John Skipper sent his thoughts and prayers to the Berman family.
Katherine and Chris were married for 34 years and had two children together.
